Why buy a 42" LED TVall The answers are:
- Great picture quality. 42" LED TVs offer the best picture quality. They have the finest contrast and color saturation, producing remarkably vibrant and realistic images.
- More advanced technology. 42" LEDs use light emitting diodes or LEDs, which are superior to cold cathode fluorescent lights (CCFLs) found in standard LCD TVs. LED lighting technology, which comes in different configurations, always produces the most realistic colors. As a result, deep blacks, brilliant whites and all colors in between are reproduced in stunning, vivid detail.
- Just the right screen size. Forty-two inches is recommended for most rooms. With this screen size, the TV can be placed ideally a distance of five to ten feet away from the viewer. Of course, it will still be possible to watch from a shorter or farther distance, but this is less than ideal.
- Thinner Size. The LED lighting configuration called "edge-lit" makes possible very thin TVs, because layers of LEDs at the back of the TV are eliminated and placed at the sides or edges instead. (In contrast, "full-array" LEDs behind the screen make for bulkier models. This does not affect picture quality though. Spectacular, superlative pictures are consistently produced with both configurations.) With their thinner build, 42" LED TVs are easy to move around. They can be hung or placed on a table.
Why not buy a 42" LED? The only answer is:
- Price Tag. 42" LED TVs are more expensive than their plasma and standard LCD counterparts. But this is reasonable, considering that LED technology is more sophisticated and provides better picture quality.
