Panasonic TC-L50ET60 50-Inch 1080p 120Hz Smart 3D IPS LED HDTV Review From Many Customer

Choosing a TV can be a difficult process because there are many options available. There are a number of key questions you have to ask: What room will the TV be viewed in? What type of content are you going to be watching? Do you want 3D capability and/or internet connectivity? Below are some of the pros and cons of this TV to help you decide if this television is right for you.
A little about why I chose this TV -- I was looking for a new unit for my bedroom, one that was large enough for an immersive movie-watching experience. I have owned many Panasonic TVs and they have always been very reliable, so my preference was to stick with that brand. I wanted an LED model, one that was both 3D capable and also could access my Netflix account. I decided on this model, and overall I'm very happy with my decisions. The product is impressive in many ways, particularly in its image quality and easy on-screen navigation. The only area I feel it is lacking is in both speaker quality and audio connection options...
POSITIVES:
  • This TV is incredibly slim. It comes with a sturdy base plate that is easy to assemble. The overall build quality of the TV is great, and the frame is very small which is a nice aesthetic change from the thicker frames of just several years ago.
  • You can greatly customize every aspect of the TV, from the image and sound specifications, to parental controls, to changing your home screen layout.
  • Picture quality is awesome - it's full HD 1080p, and the 120Hz refresh rate is also very important if you do a lot of gaming or watch sports. I'm sitting around 6-8 ft. from the screen and the 50" display is just right... if you're sitting any further than that you might want to look into the 55" model or larger.
  • The 3D quality is very high - it uses Passive 3D technology, which utilizes polarized glasses that create the stereoscopic 3D effect. In my opinion, if you are new to 3D then passive (rather than active) 3D technology is the way to go - there is less eye strain, and the glasses are comfortable (especially if you already wear regular glasses). Two pairs of glasses are included, and they're also relatively inexpensive if you need to pick up some extra pairs.
  • 3 HDMI input ports are included... that means the cable box, blu-ray player, and video game console can all be hooked up at once and ready to go.
  • A lot of discussion has taken place about the merits of LED vs. Plasma televisions. It's worth researching and looking at both, but I prefer LEDs because they perform better in bright settings (such as a family room w/ large windows) and they also use less energy.
  • This is a "Smart TV" - that means it can connect to the internet via your Wireless router and you can get a variety of Apps. For movie lovers, you can stream Netflix and Hulu. If you're going to use an internet-connected device (such as a Roku box), then there's really no need to also have a Smart TV. But it certainly doesn't hurt either, and you can always choose not to connect the TV to the internet if you prefer not to.
  • The remote control is very nice and it's not too cluttered. It's quite similar the the Panasonic remotes of the last few years. For those who watch a lot of Netflix, the remote includes a Netflix shortcut button.
NEGATIVES:
  • The built-in speakers are okay, but not great. They will do fine for watching the news, but if you are into movies/gaming then I'd definitely recommend using some type of sound system/sound bar.
  • No headphone jack. I'd imagine this will be a big inconvenience to some, and I don't see why companies aren't including it on their TVs anymore. There's no standard A/V output either, so the red-white audio to 3.5mm conversion cable won't work either.
  • Digital Coaxial Audio (this port is typically identified by the color orange) is NOT included. This will only affect certain people with older audio equipment - most newer home theater units, receivers, and sound bars accept the Digital Optical input (which is compatible with this TV).
  • Despite being mentioned in the Amazon product details, this TV does NOT have Bluetooth. I tried to connect a bluetooth device and it did not work; then I went looking into the TV settings and the manual and discovered that bluetooth is indeed not supported.
  • Its annoying that Panasonic chose to run banner ads on the TV by default. This can be turned off by selecting "Menu" on remote, then choosing Setup >> Display Customization >> Smart Viera Banner >> Off.

Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV Review - Amazing Quality Picture

Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV Review
Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV Review

Samsung UN40FH6030 has dimension 40 Inch with LED 1080p 120Hz, It make Samsung UN40FH6030 is amazing Quality Picture. Picture quality is very good. It is only a 40 inch but it is all that I wanted for the size room that it is in. The color is very good and the sound is better that I expected. I bought this television because it was cheap. Since new technologies such as OLED and 4K will be affordable in a few years, I thought I would get a cheap television to use until then. I expected picture quality to be slightly worse than the broken seven year old TV I replaced (Samsung LNT-4081F).
I'm Technology Holic and I have to admit that I've been completely blown away by how fast flat screen technology has evolved in the last few years.
Only Tell you about My history Just 5 years ago, the smallest bezel TV I could find was a 52" Mitsubishi LCD; and, now I was able to purchase this 55" Samsung LED that looks small when hanging in the same cabinet - even with the 3" larger screen!

When I first set this TV up, I was initially impressed with the bright colors; but, there were 3 obvious problems:
  • There was an almost unnoticeable 'glitch' that would occur fairly frequently. I tried to tell myself I was just being picky; but, it happened often enough to be irritating.
  • The picture was absolutely crystal clear (like looking out a window) - but the colors made everything look like a soap opera. (At least, that's what I thought of.)
  • The picture looked great when the room was bright; but, it got a hazy/grey look when the room was dark.
I started playing with the settings and lucked into a fix for the glitch pretty quickly. There's a setting called 'Auto Motion Plus' under 'Picture Options'. I played around with it for a bit and realized the glitch completely disappeared when this is set to 'Off'.

The problem with the 'soap opera' look was resolved by messing with the color settings; and, the most important change ended up being to reduce the brightness & LED backlight settings.
The haziness took a few days - and I almost reached a point where I was going to return the TV. Fortunately, that was also resolved by turning off the 'Eco Sensor'. The reason it took longer to find is because it isn't located under picture settings - instead, it's hidden in the 'System/Eco Solution' menu.

Anyway, I have to say that I'm 100% satisfied now - and absolutely blown away by the amazing picture quality! I was tempted to reduce this to a 4 star review because I think the settings I mentioned should probably be defaults for most people; but, I'm sure Samsung has their own reasons.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV if you're looking for a great LED TV! Just picked this up a few days ago. Since this is a new 2013 model, there is conflicting information on websites as to whether this tv supports 3D or not. It does. Visit Samsung's website for full details. This FH6030 is pretty much the same as last years EH6030, but does not have the 3D glasses included and is at a lower retail price.

Wanted a 3D TV but had no use for Smart features (streaming Netflix, Amazon, etc) as my TV is hooked up to my HTPC. This is one of the very few TV's with 3D and no Smart features. And it's priced accordingly. Easy to set up and fairly light if you are doing a wall mounting. Picture is good as expected with any Samsung product and has multiple setup options. Connects to the internet but the connection is used only for software updates. Like so many others, I really don't care for the Auto Motion or LED Motion Plus features that smooth the picture. Others call this the "Soap Opera" effect, but what it really does, to my eyes, is reduce sharpness and blur out/soften/dim the picture. I just turn them off.

No 3D glasses are included, but they are less than 20 dollars a pair. The correct glasses to get are the Samsung SSG-5100GB 3D Active Glasses. Pair them with the set (they are bluetooth) and you're good to go. The 2D to 3D conversion is surprisingly good. The 3D is outstanding.
If you want a nice 55 inch TV with 3D and don't need to stream from the TV, this is the one to get.

Overall Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV is Amazing Quality Picture in This Class With 40 Inc LED and 1080p 120 Hz You Can enjoy your Movies Like Real But Samsung UN40FH6030 3D LED TV Cheap TV For All advantage

Should I Buy One of Those New 3D TVs ?

Should I Buy One of Those New 3D TVs
Should I Buy One of Those New 3D TVs
An innovative new technology that is just coming to the market for consumers is the 3D television. It will permit people to view 3D movies, TV shows, and even video games from the comfort of their own home. There are a few different TV manufacturers that have created the technology that will work for a home theater 3D experience, but an affordable unit may still require a wait of a couple of years. For now the majority of 3D televisions will only be completely functional with an entirely new home theater package that will need to include a 3D television and 3D Blu-ray player.
While there is no regular technology that everyone is using, there are a few different companies that are in the process of creating 3D televisions. It is a guessing game as to who will have the best quality 3D television.

Most of the 3D televisions require that you wear the special 3D glasses in order to get the 3D effect, but there are some companies that are trying to make it so you do not have to wear the special glasses.

Right now there is not much actual content that can be viewed on a 3D television besides a few movies, but with everyone anticipating the release of more user friendly 3D televisions there is more content that will be compatible expected to come along soon.

Once 3D content is available there will probably be special cable TV or satellite TV boxes that are going to be 3D enabled. Many service companies will most likely add this on as an upgrade you can purchase, or depending on how available it becomes they will give a free upgrade. Once the service is available your provider will let you know.

Very soon consumers are going to need to decide if they would like to switch their home entertainment systems to 3D or stay with HDTV. Many stores are already carrying the 3D televisions from a few different manufacturers, but others are expected to arrive to the market very soon. After trying out a 3D television in the stores you will most likely want one right away because you are astounded by the technology and picture quality. The thing that you need to consider is that similar to the HDTV when they were first on the market, 3D televisions are pretty expensive right now and the price will most likely drop. So do you buy one now and be the first of your friends and family to have one, or do you wait until the price falls a little, the technology is perfected, and more 3D content becomes availableall

If there was one thing many people learned from buying an HDTV when they first came onto the market, it is that new technology is expensive. Right now with the technology being new you will need to buy not only the 3D TV, but you will also need to buy the additional 3D glasses and a 3D Blu-ray player at an additional cost. You can probably expect the price of the HDTV to go down with this new competition from 3D televisions. So would buying an HDTV that may later on be able to be adapted for 3D be a smart idea? Ultimately the decision is up to you, but with a new 3D television you will also get the latest of the updated HD technology.

The technology for 3D televisions is still at the early stages and will be developed a lot more as it gets older. But in the past few years the technology has been developed a great deal in order to bring it into the consumer's living room. There are many movies now that are filmed in 3D that is more advanced than previous undeveloped methods that were used.

Recent movies that I have seen in the theaters have been so life like, it really amazes you as you sit through a movie and watch the life like animation in cartoons and have actors jumping out at you in action movies. Testing out a 3D television in the store gave me the same type of jaw dropping experience and I realized that soon I would be able to have that same experience at home as well. I have seen 3D movies before but nothing like this. Remember that 3D commercial from the Super Bowl a few years ago? That same commercial with a 3D television would be even better.

The decision to buy now or wait still confuses me as I am sure it does other people too. There are talks of video game systems having the new 3D ready technology built into the consoles so your video games will be in 3D when you play. All of the accessories that will be needed to enhance the experience will be expensive, but you need to decide if the experience would be worth the extra money in the end.

Shopping for The Best 55 Inch HDTV

The Best 55 Inch HDTV
The Best 55 Inch HDTV
My Pick of the Best 55 inch HDTVs

We start with the Vizio XVT553SV which offers excellent picture quality, great local dimming capacity, and an extensive array of features. The Vizio XVT553SV is one of the TVs that will cause the least pain in your wallet when compared to other top 55 inch HDTVs. You will find prices are typically around $1600.

The Samsung UN55C8000 55 inch 3D LED HDTV gives unique edge-lit local dimming, deep black levels, superb contrast, and very precise colors. Having these features-not to mention the Smart TV platform-gives the Samsung UN55C8000 a strong boost up the ladder of "best high-def TVs". Prices are currently hovering around the $2555.00 mark.

The Sony Bravia 55-inch 3D HDTV uses its LED backlight and original ambient sensors to produce its high quality color and brightness. Its 240 Hz technology and 1920x1080p resolution provide smooth motion detail and make it one of the best HDTVs. Lowest prices are at about $1,998.00.

We would include the Vizio M550NV 55 inch LED hdtv on our list of best flat screen 55 inch tvs because of its impressive Vizio internet apps and crispness of image. This is a truly cost-effective option if you take into account the ambient light-sensing and the virtual surround sound. Prices begin around $1,298.00.

The LG 55LE8500 is nearly twice the price of the Vizio M550NV, but gives one nice deep shades of black and shadow detail, awesome color accuracy, and fantastic angle-viewing. This expensive HDTV might be worth the price for dedicated videophiles. Prices are from $2,400.00

So we have to ask ourselves in these brief flat screen TV reviews:what is the best value 55 inch HDTV for your moneyall Since the 3D element substantially pushes up cost, we have eliminated the Sony and Samsung models. The LG model was cut due to the cost. That leaves the two Vizios.

As you can discover if you read our M550NV review, the Vizio M550NV is a 1080p 120Hz HDTV with many great features for the cost. One common buyer comment is that picture quality is much better and that the M550NV runs much cooler than plasma TVs. What buyers seem to appreciate is how easy it is to set up, the great range of internet apps, and great customizable picture and audio settings on this Vizio 55 inch TV. Something that is often quoted by users is that the Vizio M550NV is the best HDTV for the money There were a few customer complaints, such as the picture occasionally froze, or shutting down.

When looking at our Vizio XVT553SV review, customers were impressed that CNET rated the XVT553SV for the first ever "excellent" rating for a Vizio HDTV -in 2010. CNET, along with individual buyers, commented on XVT553SV's exemplary picture quality, cool design, tons of features, and top value in 55 inch LED/LCD HDTVs. Customers also commented on excellent color accuracy and big viewing angle. Others when comparison shopping have commented very favorably on the XVT553SV and that it is one of the top performing HDTVs. Some of the negative comments noted were about poor black levels and contrast ratios.

The bottom line is: The Vizio M550NV and the Vizio XVT553SV are our picks for the best value 55 inch HDTV. When comparing these two Vizios to other 55 inch HDTVs we felt the next best in quality value was the HX800, but the 3D component is still disappointing -you have to buy the accessories separately and it is expensive-2 pair of 3D glasses cost $300. It is a close call but we say the Vizio XVT553SV outperforms the M550NV with double the refresh rate at 240Hz, along with advanced back-lighting and dimming capacities.

If you are interested to check it out, you might also want to look deeper into its other brilliant features.

Features of the Samsung UN55D8000

As mentioned, the design of this Samsung UN55D8000 is very slender. With its 55 inch screen, you will also definitely enjoy a full view of the movies you're watching. Furthermore, there is also the 0.2 inch brushed metal bezel that is barely visible to the viewer but it added the sleekness to the model. There is also the Quad Stand that has a very minimalistic design that will surely suit the styling of your home. Over-all, the Samsung UN55d8000 looks clean and elegant and this is perfect if you opt for a minimalistic style.

One of the best features of this Samsung UN55D8000 is its 1080p full HD capability with HDMI inputs. This means that it has the capability to display pictures with excellent quality and resolution. They are very clear and defined. Furthermore, you can also connect various sources over a single cable with the help of the four HDMI inputs. This is better than the other products that have sacrificed picture quality with style.

As for picture quality, you can also expect that the Samsung UN55D8000 can deliver great quality. It incorporates an innovative LED picture contrast technology that can definitely improve your viewing experience. The darker tones are very deep and the whites are very bright. Furthermore, the halo effect that is that is very common to other products is eliminated. This also means that the distortion effect is minimized.

For a better gaming experience, the Auto Motion Plus 240Hz technology is utilized. This can make you view every split second of a game and not just have an over-all impression. Everything is captured to a more fluid and smooth action.

Positive

Probably the most impressive feature of this Samsung UN55D8000 is its appearance. The screen is maximized and the frame is reduced. 3D picture is at its best so you can definitely have a great viewing experience. Gaming viewing is also improved as every image is captures with great quality.

Negative

The only problem with the LED contrast technology is the poor screen uniformity and excessive brightness. This can make the whites so bright and the shadows to be somewhat obscured. This is probably a disadvantage especially if you are very particular with picture quality. This Samsung UN55D8000 is also much more expensive than the other products in the market today. However, this is only due to the fact that it has better and more innovative features.

In general, the Samsung UN55D8000 has some of the best features that a good smart TV can have. With its great picture quality and stylish design, this Samsung UN55D8000 is certainly a good option.    Description: Samsung UN55D8000 - Perfect 55 Inch 3D LED TV From Samsung Rating: 4.0 Reviewer: Mahfudz ItemReviewed: Samsung UN55D8000 - Perfect 55 Inch 3D LED TV From Samsung

Second, compare the price with the big electronics retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart. Then, check the price as stated by the original TV manufacturers by visiting their website. By completing the above steps, you can readily get a comprehensive picture on the pricing of your target TV model.

Tip 3 - Consider your need and limitation

Figure out your need and limitation before you buy a new or replace your old TV set. For example, think about where to place your new TV is important. "Big" is not always means the best, "suitable" is what you need. If you are willing to compromise a bit for the TV size, actually you can save a lot. The price of a 60 inch Samsung 3D LED TV could be almost double of a 42 inch one in the same series or with similar functions.

Sony Bravia KDL40EX720 40-Inch 1080p 3D LED HDTV

Sony Bravia KDL40EX720 40-Inch 1080p 3D LED HDTV
The Bravia KDL40EX720 was unveiled a little over a year ago and it has become one of the leaders in the high-definition and 3D markets. That's right, the KDL40EX720 is not only an HDTV that whose native resolution is a dead giveaway that this is a high-definition device - 1080p - but it is also an active 3D device whose 240 Hz resolution means that you get some of the finest 3D on the market.

Not only that, though, the standard 1920 by 1080 resolution means your 2D video will be excellent, as well with brilliant colors and a wide range of contrast that makes whites seem whiter and blacks seem blacker.

However, when you pair the KDL40EX720 with a pair of active shutter glasses, you are stepping into a whole new world of video. For starters, note the delivery speed of the video, 240 Hz, or four times the speed of standard LCD displays. The way it works is this: Each image is delivered twice to each lens of your shuttered glasses. At the right moment, the active glasses actually turn off all video to one eye, while delivering enhanced video to the other eye. It is done so quickly that you don't notice it, although in 120 Hz systems it might be possible.

At this moment, though, the eyeglass lens that had been shuttered dark is turned back on and your other eye is delivered an enhanced video so that you have what is termed a "total immersion 3D experience." To put it another way, supposed you were watching a movie such as the "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King." If you have seen the film, you probably remember some of the more startling scenes where giants swing their axes narrowly missing the heroes as hordes of ghostly soldiers engulf the capital in the climactic battle. With the Bravia, you would actually see the hordes of soldiers rush past you at the enemy as they ran from the field. And, in the climactic scene, you would see a deliriously happy Golum holding his prized "precious," not realizing he is falling to his doom with the ring. The 3D is so real you feel you are there.

That perhaps is why the 40-inch LCD KDL40EX720 is such a hit with video aficionados. Not only that, though, you also have a number of inputs and outputs that allow you to use the KDL40EX720 as a video device for any Bravia-compatible electronic gear. For example, if you have a Bravia-compatible Blu-ray player and want to play a 3D movie and its stereo audio tracks on it, all you do is slip in the HDMI connector and the KDL40EX720 delivers crisp, clean video.

That perhaps more than any other items is the key to the Bravia KDL40EX720. When you are in 3D mode, the video figures are sharp and the whites seem to be a bit brighter (as in 2D mode) while the blacks are multi-shaded.

The Bravia KDL40EX720 is made for streaming media and is not only network-centric as it can act as a WiFi node for other devices, or, it can simply act as part of your home WiFi network. You can also pickup video from more standard interfaces such as the built-in Ethernet interface of the USB 2.0. Indeed, the Bravia actually has one HDMI output for so that you can actually chain devices, but it also has three HDMI inputs as well as composite a component video output

The Bravia is not only WiFi-ready, it is also internet ready and with the proper add-ons from Sony, you can set up the Bravia KDL40EX720 to handle Skype photo conversations with others as a picture-in-picture device.

As you can see, this is quite a device and we could go on for pages describing all its features. The best thing for one to do to find out exactly what the Bravia can do is obtain one and put it to whatever tests one wants, we're sure it will pass.

3 Dimensional TVs - Find Out How They Function

3 Dimensional TVs
The number of 3D TVs sold has continued to rise over the last year and shows no sign of slowing down. This article takes a look at how 3D TV pictures are recorded and displayed on the TV. It is a good idea when buying a product that uses new technology to have some knowledge of how the technology works. Without this knowledge it is not easy to determine if a particular TV has a weakness. Note that we are only going to look at 3D TV that uses glasses. The technology for 3D TV without glasses is still in its infancy and there are several limitations, such as limited viewing angle and small screen sizes, which make it an inferior product at this time.

The first thing to look at is what is the difference between a traditional 2D TV picture and a 3D pictureall A 3D picture has depth of field of view as the third dimension, whereas a 2D picture only has two dimensions - basically up and across your TV screen. With 2D pictures the brain forms its own impression of depth based on what it expects in real life. The brain knows for example that things that are smaller than expected are in the background and vice-versa for things in the foreground. In real life the depth information is generated by the different viewpoints of our eyes. Each eye sees objects from a slightly different angle. The brain combines the images from each eye and can generate a 3D impression of actuality.

3D TV picture must therefore contain two images, one for our right eye and the other for our left eye. This brings about two problems. How to generate two images and how to display them so that our brain sees a 3D picture? The answer to the first question is that a 3D program contains two picture signals that are filmed by a camera that has two lenses, roughly the same distance apart as our eyes. A 3D TV therefore receives the pictures in two streams of video but that still leaves the problem of how to display them. There is only one screen on the TV after all. The solution involves a bit of trickery. The brain is fooled into thinking that it can see two separate images, one for the left eye and the other for the right eye. A 3D TV displays the pictures for each eye alternately. In order for the system to work, the eyes must only see the appropriate image and not the image that the other eye should see.

At this stage the 3D glasses come in. The glasses use something known as active shutter technology, which makes use of a LCD built into each lens of the glasses. When the left picture is displayed, the LCD in the right lens turns black, in other words opaque, so that the right eye cannot see it. Then the right picture is displayed and the right LCD becomes clear while the left lens turns black. The glasses are synchronized to the TV so that the lenses open and shut at the correct moments.

By means of alternating the pictures at high speed, the brain is therefore tricked into thinking it is looking at a 3D image on the screen.

The Best 3D TVs In 2010 - Pros and Cons of the 3 Best Selling 3D Televisions

The Best 3D TVs in 2010
Based on the current popularity of the 3D televisions available today, combined with information from top websites on consumer reviews, here is a list of the Top 3D TVs 2010, along with some apparent positive and negative points on each:

#1 - Samsung UN55C8000 - This model from Samsung is an LED design and a 55 inch screen. Retail price on this model is $3499.99. From a single website there were 23 consumer reviews, with an overall average of about 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Positive: Apparently some previous versions of LED TVs had an issue with light being emitted from the corners of the screen. Per information from the top review that is not the case with this set. From this review there were a number of other positive remarks, mainly having to do with the stellar quality of the picture, the quality of 3D viewing as well as general overall looks.

Negative: One reviewer submitted a very detailed critique highlighting the pros and cons, with some complaints on the price tag, an issue with handling frames of movies when playing, sometimes not getting great results when converting standard definition movies, etc., to the high definition of the television. Generally this person stated that it was a good television for one of the first 3Ds, but could be improved on.

#2 - Samsung UN40C7000 - This Samsung 3D TV is also an LED design with a 40 inch screen. Retail price on this model is $1999.99. From two sites, 4 consumer reviews were submitted with an overall average of about 4 stars out of 5.

Positive: The most rave review came from a consumer who loved the color, clarity and general quality of the picture, said that there was excellent 3D viewing ("astounding") and overall loves the TV and says it's the best value for the money.

Negative: One consumer was actually quite unhappy with the purchase, saying that the picture seemed cloudy and "flashlighting" on the top left part of the screen. On a follow up report from the consumer, he or she stated that it was an issue with the LED.

#3 - Samsung UN46C7000 - This TV is the third on the list with an LED design with a 46 inch screen. Retail price for this television is $2599.99. From one single site, 9 consumer reviews were submitted with an overall average rating of 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Positive: The most "pro" review that I found stated that the visual effects of this television were stunning - and an important point that this reviewer mentions is the quality of the cables used to get the most out of the TV. (Suggested cable was a Monster 3D HDMI.) This addition made a big difference in the quality of the picture and also was quite happy with the way this model converts 2D movies into 3D.

Negative: One review had a complaint about the TV malfunctioning, and apparently a part needed to be replaced which caused the TV to sort of "take on a life of its own" and randomly bring up the menu and change the settings on the TV. This reviewer after taking the TV to a repair shop ended up needing to return it for a refund.

One thing that you may notice above - all the Top 3 3D TVs for 2010 listed here are from the same manufacturer. And as a matter of note, others on the "top" list are also from Samsung - apparently this company is ahead of the times when it comes to television technology!
